CMR Convention (signed on May 19, 1956 in Geneva)

PREAMBLE

The contracting parties,

Having recognized the usefulness of regulating in a uniform manner the conditions of the contract for the international carriage of goods by road, particularly as regards the documents used for this carriage and the liability of the carrier,

Have agreed as follows:

CHAPTER 1. – FIELD OF APPLICATION

CHAPTER II . – PEOPLE FOR WHOM THE CARRIER RESPONDS

CHAPTER III . – CONCLUSION AND EXECUTION OF THE TRANSPORT CONTRACT

CHAPTER VI . – PROVISIONS RELATING TO TRANSPORT PERFORMED BY SUCCESSIVE CARRIERS

CHAPTER VII . – NULLITY OF STIPULATIONS CONTRARY TO THE CONVENTION

 CHAPTER VIII . – FINAL PROVISIONS
