SOURCE OF BONDS
Roman law gave two sources of obligations, contracts , lawful acts, and misdemeanors, unlawful acts.
To these two categories have been added quasi-contracts and quasi-crimes. Pothier added the law as a source of obligations.
This leads to a division into three sources of obligations which correspond to the obligations imposed by law, the obligations granted resulting from an act of will and the involuntary obligations resulting from a responsibility.
