About University of Wyoming College of Law

The University of Wyoming College of Law, founded in 1920, is Wyoming’s only law school and is located in Laramie as part of the public University of Wyoming. Its Juris Doctor (JD) program requires 90 credits and includes foundational courses in contracts, property, civil procedure, criminal law, constitutional law, torts, and legal writing. Students can pursue electives in business, tax, energy, environmental, and natural resources law. The college also offers three joint degrees: JD/MBA, JD/MPA, and JD/MA in Environment and Natural Resources.

Experiential learning is an important part of the curriculum.
