DEFAMATION AND NON-PUBLIC INJURIES

SECTION 1: Non-public defamation and insult

Article R621-1

   Non-public defamation of a person is punished with the fine provided for 1st class contraventions.
The truth of defamatory facts can be established in accordance with the legislative provisions relating to freedom of the press.


Article R621-2

   Non-public insult towards a person, when it has not been preceded by provocation, is punished by the fine provided for 1st class contraventions.
